Adverbs of Manner

Adverbs of manner, ou advérbios de modo, são palavras que explicam como uma ação acontece.

Alguém pode ler um livro de vários modos.

Por exemplo:
She reads books quickly. (quickly = rapidamente)
They read books hurriedly. (hurriedly = apressadamente)

Note que advérbios de modo em português frequentemente terminam em -mente, enquanto em inglês geralmente eles terminam em -ly.

3. Substitua o texto escrito na primeira pessoa I para a terceira pessoa he,she. Não esqueça de fazer as alterações nos pronomes possessivos também:

I get up at six o'clock every day and I open the windows. I have breakfast with my family. I drink juice and coffee for breakfast. I like to eat bread and cheese for breakfast, too. At eight o'clock I go to school by bus. I don't have a car yet, but I want to buy one. At school, I speak English with my teacher and Portuguese with my friends.
At two p.m. I play tennis at the club with my brother and sister. After this, I drink some water and I take my friends to the movies. Then I smoke a cigarette and I go visit my cousin. I like to eat at the restaurant with my cousin. I don't like to cook. I don't know how to cook.
In the evening, I read the newspaper and I write some letters to my relatives. I take the letters to the post office downtown and I buy some books for my children.
At night, I stay at home and I help my children with their homework. I study English and I go to bed at eleven o'clock. I usually sleep six to eight hours.
