Grammar
Utilizamos may/might para mostrar possibilidade de algo, é como se fosse nosso "talvez". Utilizamos a seguinte forma: sujeito+ may/might + verbo.
Observe:
- He might talk to her about it.
- Ele talvez fale com ela sobre isso.
- It might rain today.
- Pode chover hoje. / Pode ser que chova hoje.
- I may go today.
- Talvez eu vá hoje.
A diferença entre may e might é que might mostra menos certeza que may, ou seja, no caso "I might go" e "I may go" a segunda frase mostra uma maior probabilidade de acontecer.
May
May também pode ser utilizado para mostrar permissão ou fazer pedidos educadamente.
