Adverbs of Manner

Adverbs of manner, ou advérbios de modo, são palavras que explicam como uma ação acontece.

Alguém pode ler um livro de vários modos.

Por exemplo:
She reads books quickly. (quickly = rapidamente)
They read books hurriedly. (hurriedly = apressadamente)

Note que advérbios de modo em português frequentemente terminam em -mente, enquanto em inglês geralmente eles terminam em -ly.

  • She politely declined the invitation to go to the party.

Porém, alguns deles não seguem o padrão descrito acima.
