Comparative Adjectives

No nosso dia a dia, frequentemente comparamos uma coisa com a outra; dizemos que este é melhor que aquele, que um tal produto é mais barato que o outro.

Note que a palavra melhor é um adjetivo que nos permite comparar as coisas. Por isso, hoje vamos ver como usamos em inglês estes comparative adjectives.

Separamos eles em duas categorias: short e long.

Short

Consideramos adjetivos curtos:

1. Aqueles com apenas uma sílaba: big, old, small, fast, etc. 2. Aqueles com duas sílabas terminados em y: happy, silly, pretty, etc.

Regras:

1. Normalmente adicionamos -er than.

Ex.: She is older than her sister. -> Ela é mais velha que a sua irmã.
