Grammar

Go + to, for a, ...ing

go to

Indica destino, finalidade, para onde estamos indo.

Ex.: I go to work at 7 am.
They are going to England next year.

go for a

Indica uma atividade de lazer. Depois desta expressão usamos um substantivo.

Atividades:

  • walk (dar uma volta a pé)
  • ride (dar uma volta de carro, bicicleta, etc)
  • ice-cream (tomar um sorvete)
  • movie (assistir a um filme no cinema)
  • run (fazer uma corrida)
  • drive (andar de carro)
  • drink (tomar um drink)
Ex.: I go for a walk in the park every morning.
She will go for a ride on her new bike.

go ...ing

Indica uma atividade de lazer ou esporte.
