Hey there,

I'm writing to ask for your advice on a problem I have at the moment. As you might already know, my boss is putting a lot of pressure on me to finish within the next two weeks the project I am currently working on, but I know I will need at least another week to do it well. I am afraid if I ask for more time he might think I am not doing a good job. Of course, he should realize that I am doing all this work alone when usually a team of three handle this kind of project. What do you think I should do?

Give the following opinions:
  • Ask the boss to help.
  • Tell the boss you would like one more week to work on the project.
  • Acknowledge he expects you to finish it on time, but say that it is just not possible.
Feel free to add any other advice you might like in the email.
